Boxes are essential items in all bake shops and groceries. There have been a great demand for them since paper and cardboards were introduced. Cakes will not be in good condition when they are brought from one place to another without the boxes. As time progressed, there were chemically treated bags and boxes that came up due to science and technology, but boxes and cardboards were not affected because people have continued using them. There are lots of positive points in using the traditional boxes that using the new products that are harmful to our health and environment.

These days, those chemically treated bags were banned in different countries because they contain chlorofluorocarbon (CFCs) which aggravate the hole in the ozone layer. Ozone layer traps the ultra violet rays of the sun and too much exposure can cause skin cancer, cataracts and genetic mutations. People really have to pay a big price for social and economic progress and that price is environmental degradation.

Cake boxes are eco-friendly and biodegradable. They don’t have the very harmful CFC. They are also safe to use because their components are made from cellulose, the indigestible fibers from green plants and trees. They are non-toxic and kids are free to hold and play with those boxes. They are also very convenient to use.

Buying cakes without packaging can be disastrous. They should be placed in boxes to ensure that they won’t get messy. These packages serve to protect the products and make them easier to carry cakes and food around. After any party at home, they can be use to pack slices of cakes and other food by those who want to take some out. They serve also as sanitary protection from flies, cockroaches and other microorganisms.

When mixture of water and fibers was filtered through a fine screen, the fibers tangled together to form a sheet of bonds between the molecules in the cellulose fiber. This gives strength to the sheet of paper or cardboard.

These products can also be a great source of income in the family, community and country. In this way, it can help the government in its Zero Waste Management Project.
